IMJ homePrivacy Policy

Information we use
We store account names, login details, email addresses, optional mobile numbers, and content you add to trips, lists, budgets, or boxes. If you choose to receive SMS, we record your consent choice, date, phone number, and basic request information to demonstrate that choice. We use this information to provide access, share content with people you select, send requested account emails and opted-in text updates, and maintain site security.
Text messages
SMS opt-in is optional. Adding a number to an account does not sign you up for messages. Message frequency varies with site activity; message and data rates may apply. You can opt out in Your account or by replying STOP. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share the information needed to deliver messages with our messaging provider, Twilio, only to operate the service.
Service providers and retention
Cloudflare hosts the site and its database; Resend delivers account emails when enabled; Twilio delivers SMS when enabled. We keep account and consent records while needed to run the site and document your preferences. Ask the site owner to review or remove your account information.
AI tools, look-ups and places
Some features send what they need to outside services: when you use a tool, and for a few checks the site runs by itself.
- Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) read what you ask a tool to work on: the words you type, a picture or file you add, and the parts of a trip, budget, list, box, garden, journal, calendar or note the tool needs. Gemini answers when Claude can’t, and for some look-ups. Both are paid services that don’t train their models on what the site sends.
- When Gemini searches the web for you (a flight’s status, a product, a price), Google Search receives your question and the details sent with it, and shows its own search suggestions with the answer. Google keeps what is sent this way for 30 days to make and check its answers. The site shows the answer only to you and doesn’t keep it.
- When Gemini looks up places with Google Maps for you (Nearby on a trip’s map, Details from Google Maps on a place, Nurseries nearby in the Garden), Google receives the kind of place you asked for, or the name the trip gives the place, and a position: the place’s, to about 100 metres, or the garden’s, to about a kilometre. Google keeps what is sent this way for 30 days to make and check its answers. The answer is shown only to you, with its links to Google Maps, and the site doesn’t keep it. A pin you add from it holds the name you give it, where you put it, and Google’s id for the place, and everyone on the trip sees it like any other pin. Google Maps pages you open from an answer come under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
- Some checks run by themselves. Every 15 minutes the site looks at every trip’s flights from yesterday to tomorrow, so it can tell travellers about delays: it sends each flight’s airline, number, date and airports to Claude at most once an hour, and its number and date to AeroDataBox at most every half hour when the site uses it. While a trip’s home page or its On this trip page is open, AeroDataBox may be asked about the trip’s flights that leave soon or have just left, as often as every few minutes. When several notices are waiting for your phone, their lines go to Claude (or Gemini) to make one notification. Each night the Garden sends each garden’s position to Open-Meteo for the forecast.
- AeroDataBox receives a flight number and date. Open-Meteo receives a place’s position and the dates the weather is for. Photon, a place-name service built on OpenStreetMap data, receives the town or address you search for, or a position.
Answers from AI tools can be wrong or out of date. Check anything that matters, such as a flight time, with the airline or the original source.
